I had the priviledge and honor to collaborate with Montreal-based, award-winning multimedia studio, Moment Factory to create the logo for Soul of the Ocean, a one-of-a-kind immersive spectacle in Ocean Park, Hong Kong.
There are two sections of the show. It begins with Sould of the Ocean: A tale where the lagoon keepers gather to take care of the biggest creature in the park: Animo, an ancient and wise character that will share the value of nature. As a second act, "Visions of Hong Kong" is a journey throughout Hong Kong's diverse faces: natural wonders, technology hub, tourist mecca, financial lodestar and a hotspot for a sustainable future.
The logo design for Soul of the Ocean is meant to communicate the show’s playfull mysterious aura, holding the spirit of Animo by highlighting his eye peeking out from the typeface which slowly emerges from City Lagoon, represented by two waves that break the tittle. As of Visions of Hong Kong, the logois meant to merge the modern (typography) and classic (Architecture) mapped over City Lagoon's emblematic building.
